Why is the research being done?
- The research is a unique opportunity for you to present your experience
- Your opinion and experience matter
- There is limited world wide research that provide men’s perspective of stillbirth
How is my information kept private and confidential?
- Data collected is de-identified, for example, by using a different name instead of your real name
- You will not be identified in any reports that arise from the study
- You can also review the audio recording and edit or erase any part you aren’t satisfied with
Will the study benefit me?
- Sometimes men don’t have the chance to speak about the stillbirth of their child
- Whether you have had the chance to talk about stillbirth in the past or this is the first time, it is an opportunity for you to contribute your thoughts, opinions and experience about stillbirth
What does the study involve?
- If you want to participate you will need to read the Information Statement

- Interviews are organised for a time and place that is mutually convenient
- The interview is more like a conversation and normally takes about 1 hour
- You will be asked to sign a consent form before the interview
- Your participation is entirely voluntary, you are allowed to withdraw from the study at any time
- There are no payments for participants but your contribution is really important
Who can participate?
- Men aged over 18
- Your female partner experienced the stillbirth of your child between 6 months and 3 years ago
